Westpoint Transit is looking for a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team, who will be in charge of performing vehicle repairs and maintenance of our fleet.

The scope of work of this role will be as follows:

Perform vehicle repairs (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, etc.) including:

• Conduct daily service maintenance on vehicles (Diesel Engine and Electric Vehicle);
• Troubleshoot issues highlighted by vehicle drivers and provide recommendations;
• Perform maintenance and checks in adherence with parts'/vehicles' Warranty Process and Procedures;
• Conduct visual checks on cleanliness of vehicle, including state of fixtures such as glass panels/windows/windscreen, seats, seatbelts, etc.;
• Overhaul of vehicles;
• Identifying of recommended spare parts for vehicle fleet;
• Ensure genuine parts replacement and service according to checklists and scope of work including putting up purchase orders for required spare parts;
• Able to log and record all work / maintenance performed on vehicles via company's fleet maintenance system;
• Report all work-related status to Senior Mechanic, including all repair progress and requirements;Complete in a timely manner all duties assigned;
  Maintain a clean and organized work bay;
  Be responsible for safe handling and using tools and equipment;
  Conduct welding, fabrication, and metalwork as needed.
