GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Within an Agile framework our team provides testing as a service to the various squads within a banking and finance domain Agile Release Train. In providing the testing service we also facilitate the transition of new features and applications into the production environment seamlessly.

KEY FEATURES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Role & Responsibilities

• Review and analyse stories with a view to refinement from testing and testability angle

• Collaborate with the squads to develop effective test strategies and test plans

• Execute test cases and document test results and defects in an audit compliance manner

• Support the squads to troubleshoot and resolve defects

• Help test engineer to develop test automations

• Report defects and issues to the squads on a timely manner as part of a continuous feedback process

• Working with the squad to ensure quality throughout the change process

• Working with fellow testers develop and improve the testing service as part of a continued improvement process

• Support the transition of change into production by conducting post release testing and support, including training to fellow support team members

• Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Personal and Social

Professional and Technical

• Relevant higher educational and professional background with 4 - 7 years or more relevant experience

• Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Tester; preferably in the financial industry

• Experience in Agile framework and QA methodology

• Familiar with testing in-house developed applications and vendor base applications

• Excellent knowledge of functional and workflow bases system design; especially spanning multiple interconnected systems

• Have basic to medium level of financial product knowledge, e.g equity/FX structured products, Vanila and exotic options on equity and FX underlyings

• Well versed in the use of Jira and testing software/tools

• Experience with test automation and management tools, e.g Selenium, Tosca, X-Ray
