Responsibilities:

1. Schedule Development & Integration
  • Develop and maintain the integrated Level 1-4 project schedules, covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams to obtain schedule input and align deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific planning standards, WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), and coding structures


2. Planning & Progress Control
  • Establish a baseline schedule and monitor progress against key milestones.
  • Track actual progress and update forecasts based on performance trends.
  • Analyze deviations, identify root causes, and support mitigation planning.
  • Monitor the critical path, float consumption, and potential delays to proactively flag risks.


3. Reporting & Communication
  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, including dashboards, progress curves (S-Curves), and look-ahead plans.
  • Provide schedule-related input for client meetings, internal reviews, and project management decision-making.
  • Support the project controls team in integrating planning with cost control and risk management.


4. Interface Management
  • Act as the focal point for planning coordination between internal stakeholders and external parties, including clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and construction deliverables.
  • Coordinate the planning interface with client planners and maintain transparency in progress reporting.


5. Delay Analysis & Claims Support
  • Identify, analyze, and document schedule impacts related to changes, delays, or disruptions.
  • Support time impact analysis (TIA) for change orders and extension of time (EOT) claims in coordination with contract and legal teams.


6. Tools & Systems
  • Use advanced planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel-based tracking systems for schedule development and reporting.
  • Maintain planning databases and ensure integrity of data.


7. Compliance & Best Practices
  • Ensure planning activities are compliant with company procedures, contractual obligations, and industry standards (e.g., AACEI, PMI).
  • Promote best practices in planning and scheduling across the project team.


Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-5 years in a Lead Planner role on large-scale EPC projects.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Office Suite, and planning/reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC project lifecycles, contract schedules, and planning methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
