Manager, Supply Chain Management & Procurement

Position: Manager, Supply Chain Management & Procurement

Report to: Managing Director

Description: The Manager, Supply Chain Management & Procurement is responsible for overseeing our supply chain operations, including forecasting, demand planning and procurement as well as inbound and outbound transportation, to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

Purchasing

• Accountable for developing, implementing & maintaining all SCM & Proc processes - SOPs

• Responsible for preparing liability agreements with customers.

• Responsible for creating Demand Supply Planning templates and calculations (DSP)

• Responsible for providing consultation to both external and internal customers on SCM requirements and feasibility.

• Responsible for handling new supplier inquiries and set-up.

• Responsible for verifying material sufficiency & preventing shortages.

• Responsible for managing and taking necessary actions on EOL and excess material negotiations.

• Responsible for managing special support requests from customers

• Responsible for following the agreed process and ensuring the team executes actions based on SOPs.

• Responsible for securing properly trained personnel to maintain the required and functional purchase processes for the company.

• Responsible for organising necessary actions on material sourcing for new materials and initial testing materials (project phase).

• Responsible for confirming supplier material quotations & supply agreements (project phase)

• Responsible for arranging necessary system setup actions and collecting documentation (new materials).

• Responsible for checking and approving Monthly DSP sourcing actions based on customer demands (direct materials).

• Responsible for checking and approving weekly and monthly sourcing actions of non-related or indirect materials and machinery for internal customers.

Shipping

• SCM agreement with the customer for each new project or new customer (Accountable)

• Maintain, develop, and implement Internal process agreements on shipment, packing, documentation, and timelines (Accountable)

• Responsible for executing goods receipt (items appointed to you or requested by you)

• Responsible for following the agreed process and ensuring the team executes actions based on SOPs.

• Responsible for ensuring that the correct system and documentation actions are taken for purchased incoming materials (GR).

Corrective and Preventive Actions

• Responsible for creating SOPs for supply chain and OTD processes to minimise errors ( process flow & timelines)

• Responsible for participating in error correction (including changes in SOPs if necessary)

• Responsible for implementing the developed corrective actions within their area of process and reviewing their effectiveness.

• Responsible for creating SOPs for the OTD process with suppliers to streamline procedures and timelines, thereby minimising actions (monthly DSP).

• Responsible for creating SOPs for internal purchasing actions and timelines to minimise ad hoc errors.

• Detection and reporting of errors, cause identification, and development of preventive actions.

Complaint processing

• Responsible for following the agreed process and ensuring the team executes actions by SOPs.

• Responsible for agreeing on SOPs for SCM of UC materials.

• Participate in the UC complaint process if needed.

• Responsible for following the agreed process and ensuring the team executes actions based on SOP/process.s

• Responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Supplier NCR process for purchasing materials within the Purchase team (cooperation with SQE & BUM)

• Responsible for confirming NCR-related commercial actions and ensuring production feasibility.

• Responsible for confirming and instructing necessary actions related to customer complaints (buy-sell materials).

• Responsible for overseeing and instructing actions concerning transportation-related defects.

Continuing Education and Training

• Responsible for executing development discussions for their team.

• Responsible for the performance and development of the team organisation

Continuous Improvement process

• Responsible for following the agreed process and ensuring the team executes actions based on SOP/process.

• Responsible for creating and maintaining a fluent and cost-effective supply chain in cooperation with customers to meet their demands on time.

• Responsible for monitoring and taking actions to improve supply chain processes and reduce costs where possible, benefiting both the company and its customers.

• Responsible for monitoring supplier performance in the OTD process, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to quantity, quality, and service standards.

• Responsible for evaluating the outcomes of supplier assessments, emphasising performance status, and taking necessary actions for improvements.

• Responsible for planning and executing cost savings on materials, where such actions can be taken (indirect / non-related).
