About The Role

The Regional Supply Chain Manager, Region Asia Pacific will be responsible for leading inventory planning and optimization across the APAC region, ensuring operational excellence, service reliability, and cost-effectiveness. This role is pivotal in strengthening regional planning processes, enhancing S&OP maturity, and aligning closely with the global supply chain strategy to support business growth.

The successful candidate will be part of a high-performance team, driving innovation and continuous improvement in supply chain operations. They will play a key role in building capabilities, managing cross-functional collaboration, and driving regional supply chain strategies through advanced tools, systems, and data analytics.

Major Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & S&OP
  • Lead the APAC regional demand and supply planning processes in alignment with global S&OP frameworks.
  • Optimize planning accuracy through forecast refinement, demand sensing, and collaborative planning with commercial, finance, and operations teams.
  • Facilitate alignment between sales, operations, and finance to ensure effective business decision-making.

Inventory Management & Optimization
  • Drive inventory strategy for the region, balancing service levels, working capital, and cost targets.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs including inventory turns, days on hand (DOH), service level attainment, and slow-moving/obsolete inventory (SLOB).
  • Enforce robust inventory control practices and ensure adherence to corporate governance and compliance policies.

Process Improvement & Technology Integration
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives in supply planning, inventory optimization, and fulfilment efficiency.
  • Evaluate and deploy advanced technologies including AI/ML forecasting, supply chain digitization tools, and automation platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT, data analytics, and digital transformation teams to implement scalable solutions that enhance visibility and decision-making.

Operational Excellence
  • Ensure timely and accurate supply of products to support sales and customer demand across all APAC markets.
  • Oversee vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs and manage performance of third-party logistics (3PL) and distribution centres (DCs).
  • Lead root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and supply interruptions and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Risk Management & Compliance
  • Conduct regular supply chain audits, risk assessments, and mitigation planning to ensure business continuity.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce inventory obsolescence and improve cash flow through proactive inventory lifecycle management.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies across all supply chain activities.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in regional or global supply chain roles, preferably in Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Healthcare industries.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis, O9, Anaplan).
  • Proven track record in inventory planning, demand forecasting, and cost optimization in complex supply networks.
  • Certification in APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent professional qualifications preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML forecasting and digital supply chain technologies.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across regions.
  • Fluent in English; additional Asian language(s) a plus.
