Buyer - JD

• Responsible for working with Planning teams in order to ensure on-time deliveries of raw materials, with zero downtime.

• Release Purchase Order & rescheduling according to changes in demand

• Track shipments to ensure on time delivery and monitor performance of suppliers

• Manage suppliers to meet objectives in the area of quality, flexibility and inventory control

• Manage purchase forecast to suppliers

• Liaise with Finance Department with regards to supplier invoice & payment issues

• Liaise & resolve any claims with supplier if necessary

• Provide reports on relevant purchasing and project information

• Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company's Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs.

Participate and adhere to Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) policy, programs and procedures.

Qualification

• Diploma/ Degree in any discipline, preferably with 2 years' relevant experience

• MRP / SAP knowledge preferred

• Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills

• Good team player who is independent and self-motivated

• Ability to interpret within established procedures and practices as well as exercise independent judgment in complex situations
