Responsibilities

• Establishing and setting robust sourcing strategies and KPI’s, with clear communication to the functional procurement team as well as towards the regional operational leadership

• The nature of the role requires deep understanding of tech industry market dynamics, schedule and volume synergies, financial drivers, value of intelligence as well negotiation tactics, decision making and people management

• Continuously promotes to improve cost, quality, schedule flexibility and risk profiles
• Collaborate and ensure smooth communication with cross- functional teams, including engineering, finance, manufacturing, and quality
• Work with engineering teams on New Product Introduction and ensure that sufficient quantities of product are available for new launches to our customers
• Identify and lead various supply chain initiatives within the team and cross functionally

Qualifications 

• Team management, leadership, pro-activeness, hands-on attitude, motivated
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent discipline. Master’s degree seen as a positive
• 12 years of working experience in a SCM role; 5 years team management
• Empathic, pro-active and connected team lead
• Great oral and written communications skills
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin is mandatory
• Great sense of integrity
• Pro-active, resourceful and problem-solving abilities, commercial orientated
• Knowledge of relevant rules and regulations for offshore industry
• Advanced user of MS Word, MS Excel and ideally SAP
• Is willing to travel and work abroad for 6 months of the year or more, with majority of the time at our factory sites. Must be willing to be assigned in China for the initial 9 months of work.
