Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the Asia-wide ground transport procurement strategy to optimize cost, service performance, and risk across FTL, LTL, last-mile, and cross-border trucking.

• Consolidate and manage regional transport spend, standardizing commercial terms, contracts, and service agreements in line with group procurement governance and compliance requirements.

• Lead regional tenders, sourcing exercises, and contract negotiations with transport vendors, 3PLs, and 4PL partners to secure competitive and sustainable solutions.

• Establish and govern a preferred carrier program across Asia, defining KPIs, SLAs, audit standards, and performance management frameworks.

• Drive supplier performance management, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), to ensure service quality, cost compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Oversee procurement for key cross-border road freight corridors (e.g. China-ASEAN, intra-SEA), while supporting country teams in domestic carrier selection and capacity planning.

• Manage the regional ground transport budget, delivering agreed year-on-year savings targets through benchmarking, spend analytics, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Partner closely with Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, accruals, budget control, and financial governance for regional transport spend.

• Drive digitalization of procurement and transport processes, promoting adoption of e-sourcing platforms, TMS, e-POD, and data analytics to enhance transparency and visibility.

• Support sustainability and green transport initiatives, including emissions reporting, CO₂ reduction programs, and adoption of alternative fuel or low-emission transport solutions.

• Lead, coach, and develop the regional procurement team, while coordinating effectively with country-level procurement and operations stakeholders.

• Represent the Asia region in global procurement forums, sharing best practices, market intelligence, and driving cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Finance, and Compliance.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5 years of related experience in transport or logistics procurement, with minimum 2 years in a regional senior role.
- Deep experience in cross-border road freight and domestic trucking within Asia.
- Strong contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost optimization skills.
- Experience in 3PL/4PL logistics or freight forwarding environment highly desirable.
- Proficient with TMS, ERP, and e-Procurement systems
- Willingness to travel regionally (40-50%).
