Position Summary
The position E2E Supply Chain Manager is responsible for:
1) Managing and supporting supply chain related activities for Contract and Upjohn Manufacturers in support of Upjohn Global Supply for assigned product portfolio. Working in partnership with Virtual Site Operation Teams (VSOT), Contract Manufacturers' supply chain management, API, & Brand Supply Leaders, and Operations
2) Communication, alignment etc. with Demand Planners for an assigned markets for the full product portfolio as point of contact (his/her own portfolio and the colleagues E2E Supply Chain Planner portfolio).
The position will utilize excellent analytical & critical thinking skills in the planning and reconciling of drug product and finished goods.
This role will have the key responsibility to co-ordinate smooth and efficient operation of supply chain processes in support of the supply chain manager to ensure customer satisfaction, MSA compliance and a cost-effective supply chain. The role requires a highly motivated self-starter, possessing the ability to work virtually and independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
Note: certain activities are performed by a Supply Chain specialist team.
Position Responsibilities:
Area: Supply Planning
• Provide planning, procurement, logistics andoversight for all assigned products (drug product, finished goods, etc.)
• Collect, consolidate, verify and communicate forecasted Drug Product volumes per article to be used in the operational plan (budget),
• Review forecast changes, and identifysignificant demand risks
• Accountable for end-to-end SupplyAssurance of assigned product portfolio.
• Review open Purchase Orders and productionschedule with vendors to ensure the requested delivery is met; monitor shipmentschedules and provide actions to mitigate risk.
• Serve as point of contact to BSLs and manufacturing sites for any questions related to supply issues, resolution plans, inventory for assigned product portfolio
• Establish strong working relationships with tolling sites to attain optimal levels of production output, minimize costs while adhering to agreed upon production schedules, thereby delivering superior levels of customer service.
• Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues E2E SC Planners to enable good information exchange between the E2E SC Planner product portfolio and the E2E SC Planner serving as point of contactto Demand Planner(s).
• Supply assurance - monitor and track supply outlook including supply issues resolution Inventory management and deployment.
• Participate and collaborate closely within the Virtual Site Operation team (VSOT) on supply/demand changes, pricing changes, vendor/customer issue resolution, contractual issues, allocations etc.
• Develop and update a rolling 24 months master schedule based on demand forecasts, available capacity, inventory policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure global inventory management policies and processes are adhered to.
• Manage allocation for short supply products by collaborating closely with the respective above site API Supply Planning Lead (ASL) and Brand Supply Leads (BSLs) on allocation proposal andinform the allocated quantities to the customer.
• Support inventory transition planning for new product transfer projects.
• Maintain regular contact with the markets and global planning to resolve demand and supply issues.
• Collaborate with all other teams within (Intercompany Operations Customer Service, logistics, transport, customs etc.) and outside Upjohn Global Supply to assure supply and improve efficiency ofprocesses.
• For new launch sku's: Create initial plan and initial purchase order in consultation with the PCM and to incorporate tcanabilization (if any) in the supply chain plan
• Manage changes in transportation model
Area: Product shipment execution
• Follow up shipment of the orders with agreed carriers and monitor the shipments until delivery and release in the market (In-transit monitoring /On-the way monitoring)
• Manage critical shipments requests and transportation modes in collaboration with the plant, Intercompany Operations, and E2E Supply chain planning team (Critical shipments) including monitoring the follow up
Area: Inventory Management
• Generate and review the Drug Product demand forecast and inventory targets to detect important deviations from the information used for the operational plan (budget).
• Accountable for update article information with new/changed BOM information, or provide update BOM information to the relevant support function and monitor and verify timely and correct set-up.
• Drive continuous optimization of inventory and working capital
• Perform root cause analysis of inventory deviations vs. targets and of inventory drivers and define improvement plans
• Minimizeinventory write-offs. Monitor and manage inventory shelf-life/expiry dates, andactively improve processes to avoid obsolescence write-offs
• Coordinate pre-shipment and support post-shipment issue resolution with Intercompany Operations(I/O) or market teams as required
• Monitor current and projected inventory of tolled materials at contract manufacturers, to detect potential issues, slow moving, overstocking and unavailability situations and initiate/change action as necessary.
• Support the "Your" Team Lead in setting budget inventory targets for their respective portfolio
Area: Market View
• As facilitator of the communication with the Market: Continuously monitor and ensure through the e2e SCP per site the product supply of assigned product portfolio to represented markets
• Drive communication and resolution of supply issues with stakeholders using standard processes (e.g. e-alerts, weekly calls withmarket/plants)
• Serve as point of contact to Demand Planner(s) for the market(s) for the full product portfolio (his/her own portfolio and the colleagues E2E Supply Chain Planner portfolio)
Area: Improvement initiatives
• Own and drive completion of supply or other improvement initiatives
• Through collaboration with key stakeholder, accountable for driving continuous improvements in supply chain processes, establishing meeting performance objectives and operational changes (e.g.e-alerts, weekly calls with market/plants)

Education
- Minimum Bachelor degree (Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain management, Trade or Management) or equivalent experience
Experience
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a Supply Chain environment; preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in Materials Management and alignment with Sales, Marketing and Finance is an added value
- Excellent understanding and experience with production planning and inventory management optimization strategies
- Experience in projects that require collaborative approaches
Preferred qualifications:
- APICS training certification preferred
Key capabilities:
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written) other languages are an added value
- Understanding of pharmaceutical industry commercial dynamics, trends and regulatory processes and pharmaceuticalmanufacturing operations and end to end global product flows
- Understanding of Sales/Commercial/Marketing functional areas
- Local Logistics market knowledge (LSPs, transport)
- Knowledge and understanding of supply chain concepts
- Excellent understanding and experience with production planning and inventory management.
