Developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts for best value, overseeing budgets, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and mitigating supply chain risks to maintain smooth operations and achieve cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & Sourcing:Develop and implement strategies to secure necessary goods and services at optimal costs and quality. Identify, evaluate, and select new and existing suppliers.
  • Supplier Management:Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with vendors, monitor their performance, and manage any disputes.
  • Contract Negotiation:Negotiate terms, pricing, and conditions with suppliers to achieve financial savings and favorable agreements.
  • Budget Management:Oversee procurement budgets, track expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, laws, and industry regulations. Mitigate risks within the supply chain.
  • Process Oversight:Manage the entire procure-to-pay process, from requisitioning and ordering to receiving and payment.
  • Forecasting & Analytics:Forecast future demand and analyze data, including spend analysis, to track performance (KPIs) and prepare reports for management.
  • Internal Collaboration:Work with internal departments and stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure those needs are met.
  • Team Leadership (in larger organizations):Supervise and train procurement staff, delegate tasks, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
