The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics. The role ensures optimal operational efficiency and alignment with quality and regulatory standards, while supporting the organization's overall business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
  • Provide overall leadership for the Supply Chain department, aligning supply chain strategies with business objectives.
  • Develop and implement supply chain policies, procedures, and best practices to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead supply chain risk management and contingency planning.
  • Represent the function in cross-departmental and management meetings.

Procurement
  • Oversee the Procurement team to ensure efficient sourcing of raw materials, consumables, and services at the right quality, cost, and time.
  • Approve procurement strategies and major purchase decisions.
  • Ensure supplier performance management, including vendor evaluation, selection, and relationship management.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual obligations.

Order Management & Customer Service
  • Lead the Customer Service team in managing the end-to-end order fulfilment process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing, confirmation, and delivery of customer orders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Align order processing with internal stakeholders including Sales, Finance, and Production.

Material & Demand Planning
  • Lead the planning team in preparing accurate demand forecasts and material requirements to support production and sales plans.
  • Oversee the development of mid-to-long term supply plans, managing lead times and safety stock levels.
  • Coordinate closely with Production, R&D, and Sales to ensure planning alignment.
  • Mitigate potential supply shortages or excess inventory through proactive planning.

Inventory Management
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity across all locations.
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance availability, cost, and working capital.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce inventory obsolescence and improve stock turnover.
  • Oversee inventory reconciliation, reporting, and controls in the ERP system.

Warehousing & Logistics Management
  • Direct the Warehouse and Logistics team to manage efficient inbound and outbound logistics, storage, and distribution.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety, regulatory, and operational standards.
  • Oversee relationships with freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers, and customs agents.
  • Ensure timely delivery and proper documentation for both domestic and international shipments.

Compliance & Quality Management
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements including GMP, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and internal audit standards.
  • Drive adherence to documentation practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits and lead implementation of corrective actions as needed.

ERP and Data Management
  • Oversee the accuracy of supply chain data in the ERP system.
  • Drive system enhancements and digital tools to improve visibility, traceability, and reporting.
  • Ensure timely generation of supply chain KPIs and dashboards to support business decisions.

People Management & Development
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Supply Chain team, including Procurement, Customer Service, and Warehouse/Logistics functions.
  • Set clear goals, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify training needs within the department.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. A science background (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology) is an advantage.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain functions, with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
    Industry experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Competencies:
    Strong leadership and people management skills
    Solid knowledge across procurement, planning, logistics, and customer service
    Proficient in ERP systems (preferably M3)
    Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
    Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
    Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GMP, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 is advantageous
