We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Purchase Assistant to support our procurement team. The successful candidate will assist in sourcing suppliers, processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. This role is crucial to ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the sourcing and evaluation of suppliers and vendors.
Prepare and issue purchase orders based on approved requisitions.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
Coordinate with internal departments to determine procurement needs and specifications.
Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
Verify delivery of items against purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies.
Perform general administrative duties related to the procurement function.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a purchasing or administrative assistant (1-2 years preferred).
Good knowledge of supply chain procedures and procurement processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
