HIAP WOON SHIPPING was established 1984 in Singapore to support activities of our sister company's ships around the region. Today, we have grown to specialize in several areas of maritime transport including Chartering, Ocean Freight, Port Agency and Specialized Logistics.

Role

As a Shipping Executive, you will have the opportunity to learn hands on a key pillar of the Singapore economy and global trade.

Your main responsibilities (80%):

- Prepare shipping documentation including cargo manifest, shipping order, Bills of Lading, permits

- Coordinate with clients, carrier/forwarders, authorities and other stakeholders locally and overseas for smooth business operations

- Assist and Identify opportunities to optimize efficiency, revenue and costs including sales and marketing outreach

- De-escalation and dispute resolution

Other responsibilities (20%):

- Attend cargo and vessel operations electronically or physically at port and anchorage which may fall outside regular working hours, depending on vessel schedule

- Ad-hoc office and administrative duties as assigned

You will need

- Positive attitude, good communication skills, tenacity and willingness to learn

- Ability to work under pressure, independently as well as part of a team

- Willingness to work odd hours (ordinarily Weekdays 9am-6pm)
