I am partnering exclusively with a stable and growing company in the Commodities and Agri industry to hire a Senior Legal Manager.

If you have a strong background in international legal practice, a passion for commercial and cross-border legal work, and experience in the Commodities and Agri industry this is your opportunity to make a strategic impact in this newly created position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts and commercial agreements (including EPC contracts, O&M agreements, financing agreements).
• Advise internal teams (Commercial, BD, M&A, HR, Finance, etc.) on legal and regulatory issues.
• Proactively identify legal risks and provide business-oriented solutions.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting their global operations.
• Support legal compliance in areas such as data privacy, trade law, international sanctions, and export controls.
• Liaise with local and international law firms in line with group legal policy.
• Handle legal claims and disputes, supporting resolution strategies and litigation where necessary.
• Contribute to internal training, legal documentation, and knowledge management.
• Help foster a culture of compliance and ethical business conduct.

Qualifications:

• LLB or equivalent.
• 10-15 years of legal experience, ideally with a mix of law firms and in-house roles.
• Proven experience in commodities, agri-business, or related sectors.
• Solid exposure to Southeast Asian markets, especially Indonesia, Thailand, and Japan (a plus).
• Strong understanding of international contracts and cross-border legal frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
