Your Day to Day

voco Orchard Singapore is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Bellman to be part of our team. As a Bellman, you provide warm hospitality by delivering consistent quality service to all guests at all times and ensure that our Guests enjoy an exceptional experience for welcoming all guests to the hotel as well as bidding them farewell.

• Promote enrolment and administer loyalty programmes for hotel guests, including IHG Rewards, InterContinental Ambassador, Kimpton Inner Circle
• Look continuously for ways to improve the income of the hotel whilst decreasing costs without impacting guest service
• Ensure hotel facilities and services are offered and positively promoted to guests at all times
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments, including Finance, Revenue, Sales and Marketing, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.
• Liaise with external parties, including guests, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders, to ensure satisfaction, compliance, and positive public relations.
• Welcome Guests on arrival and assist them during their stay
• Ensure daily smooth operation of driveway & hotel entrance
• Assisting guests with their luggage for guest arrival and departure
• Maintain the cleanliness of the driveway, hotel's lobby and general public area
• Ensure that all guests' requests are met and follow-up accordingly
• To store all luggage in the storage room in an orderly manner at all times
• Follow-up action in logbooks to ensure that they have been acted without delay
• To maintain public area facilities and exercise caution by not damaging the lift walls, or corridor walls when using the trolley
• To maintain the conditions of the equipment, e.g. polishing the trolleys and etc.
• To be well-versed in all related hotel product information including room rates, meeting facilities, Food & Beverage Outlets and other hotel facilities
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidy of the work station and ensure all equipment is in good working order
• Maintain the cleanliness, neat and being well-groomed appearance at all times during on duty
• Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned including assisting staff with their job functions during peak periods

What We Need From You

• Independent and motivated individual with friendly personality.
• Oral and written fluency in English. Fluency in another language is an advantage.
• Able to stand long hours and lift weights of at least 10kg.
• Commitment to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Great communication skills, ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflect highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.
