The Asia Pacific Hybrid Cloud Systems Solution Engineering team is looking for an experienced pre-sales consultant to fulfil Master Principal Solution Engineer role responsible to work on Hybrid Cloud projects advocating both on-premises and hybrid cloud Oracle solutions.

In this position, you will be providing functional and technical pre-sales support and be involved in the design and validation of Oracle Hybrid Cloud solutions.

The focus for this position will be the architectural design and recommendation relating to Oracle technologies and integration with modern infrastructure and Engineered Systems in customer on premises and Cloud environments.

Specialisation of this position: Engineered Systems - including Exadata / Recovery Appliance, DevOps & Developers Toolset, Oracle Public Cloud Expert.

Responsibilities

• Assist the sales team in the development, qualification and pursuit of on-premises and hybrid cloud sales opportunities.
• Provide presentations and demonstrations of on-premises and Oracle Hybrid Cloud Solutions.
• Design, build, tune and demonstrate prototype / Proof of Concept solutions that highlights the key strengths of the Oracle systems solution set.
• Understand and drive business value proposition within every sales opportunity.
• Provide assistance in tradeshows / seminars / public speaking events.
• Provide assistance in the distribution of new product information, technology workshops, and solution strategies.
• Represent Oracle as a credible expert in the agreed technology area.
• Establish account presence and build trust with customers and key SI/Partners
• Share responsibility for the account sales strategy with the Sales Representatives and broader sales team
• Share product / industry / competitive knowledge through internal presentations and white paper development with broader sales team
• Supports the completion of RFP and RFI requests from SI/Partners. Produce high quality input to proposals, bids and tender responses
• Experience working alongside sales teams, selling and positioning on-premises and Oracle Cloud solutions
• Participate and facilitate in-depth demonstration of product functions and features
• Strive to become an acknowledged expert by keeping abreast of new features and product releases
• Able to engage with cross lines of business as required
• Able to travel when required - travel 20%

Expertise and experience

• \t15 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

o\tExperience with technology sales is mandatory

o\tPre-sales experience is required

• \tHands-on Experience with either Oracle Cloud or with any of the competitive cloud vendors

• \tApplication development experience in developer's role as a plus

• \tStrong understanding of enterprise networks design principles and architecture

• \tDevOps Experience and practical knowledge of CI/CD flows as a plus

• \tExcellent presentation and communication skills both written, oral and presentation to all levels: technical audience and C-Level

• \tSelf-motivator with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Additional qualifications preferred

• Past technology Ambassador/Evangelist experience working for a software or hardware vendor
• Experience implementing competitive cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong knowledge of operating systems including Oracle Enterprise Linux
• Strong knowledge of the Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition and associated options
