SUMMARY:

Our Bus & Tram Drivers are at the heart of the visitor experience on Sentosa. They are not only responsible for the safe and timely operation of buses and trams but also serve as ambassadors of service excellence. With professionalism, courtesy, and care, they ensure every passenger, whether local or tourist to enjoys a smooth, safe, and memorable journey.

Tower Transit Singapore's drivers are more than just operators. They deliver a high standard of customer service, ensure fare compliance, assist passengers with special needs, and respond calmly and efficiently to unexpected situations. These frontline professionals embody the company's commitment to service and safety.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

• Operate buses and/or trams safely, strictly following traffic laws and company operating procedures.
• Adhere to scheduled service times and routes, adjusting only when required due to road or safety conditions.
• Liaise with the Service Controller for instructions when facing delays, route disruptions, or emergencies.
• Ensure vehicle signage (e.g., route destination) is correctly displayed before and during service.
• Assist with passenger queries regarding routes services.
• Deliver a professional and friendly customer service experience at all times.
• Assist passengers with disabilities or special mobility needs, including safe boarding/alighting and proper securing of wheelchairs or mobility devices.
• Proactively provide journey-related information to passengers, including route options and service disruptions.
• Remain vigilant and report any anti-social behaviours or suspicious activities that may pose safety risks.
• Comply with all workplace safety procedures and conducting pre-service vehicle checks.
• Ensure adherence to company policies on health, safety, environment, and fire safety.
• Promptly report all accidents, incidents, and service issues using company reporting protocols.
• Abide by regulations on driving hours and rest periods and notify supervisors of any potential compliance conflicts.
• Represent the company in a positive and respectful manner towards all passengers, colleagues, and members of the public.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, CONDITIONS SPECIFICATION:

• Valid Certificate 4 driving licence
• Valid Bus Driver's Vocational License (Company sponsor for suitable candidate without BDVL)
• Secondary 2 education/WPL Level 3, or an equivalent
• Strong awareness of road safety and vehicle operation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Confidence in using and managing onboard announcement systems.
• Calm, composed, and adaptable in handling passenger-related situations.
• Able to assist passengers with special needs or disabilities.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Prior experience in public transport or tourism service environments is a plus.

SAFETY AND COMPANY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to all Tower Transit Singapore's policies and procedures.
• Priorities the safety of others by adhering to the company's health and safety policies, procedures, and responsibilities, in compliance with applicable Health and Safety legislation.
• To report to your SM any injury, collision or dangerous occurrence that has taken place, or concerns regarding health, safety and security issues.
