Role Summary

As an Assistant Practice Manager in a Lifestyle Medicine-focused healthcare facility, you will play a central role in delivering holistic, preventive, and precision-based medical care. This role blends traditional nursing responsibilities with Lifestyle Medicine and advanced health optimization services. The Assistant Practice Manager will be responsible for overseeing all nursing staff and healthcare assistants, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety provided by the whole nursing team. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Operations, he/she will also be responsible for nursing compliance with regulatory requirements by MOH and SNB.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Nursing Services Management
  • Lead and manage the delivery of nursing services, including phlebotomy, vitals taking, body composition analysis, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of nursing care, from appointment readiness to post-care follow-up
  • Supervise nursing team performance and patient interactions to ensure discretion, compassion, and clinical excellence

2. Clinical Workflow & Project Management
  • Oversee all nursing workflows and procedures, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
  • Plan and execute new projects or service enhancements within nursing operations
  • Ensure readiness of equipment and nursing supplies for all services

3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Service Development
  • Collaborate with HODs, doctors, and allied health professionals to design and implement new services or care models
  • Participate in strategic planning to improve patient access, care outcomes, and operational innovation

4. Patient Education & Preventive Health
  • Train and mentor nursing staff in evidence-based patient education
  • Ensure patient counselling is consistent, medically sound, and delivered professionally by the nursing team

5. Clinical Systems & Patient Journey
  • Be fully proficient in the Clinic Management System (CMS) and related software to support clinical documentation and service flow
  • Maintain oversight of the end-to-end patient journey, ensuring that the nursing touchpoints align with the clinic's premium standards

6. Standards of Care & Compliance
  • Maintain nursing standards in accordance with MOH and internal policies
  • Implement systems to monitor care quality, manage incidents, and ensure SOP adherence
  • Support audits, documentation, and training to keep the clinic aligned with regulatory requirements

7. Infection Prevention & Safety
  • Oversee Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices across all clinical areas
  • Ensure safe disposal of biohazardous waste, proper sterilisation, and hygiene standards are consistently followed
  • Conduct periodic training and checks to maintain staff readiness and compliance

8. Inventory & Equipment Management
  • Oversee and conduct daily medication stock counts, reporting discrepancies to the HOD
  • Maintain inventory of drugs, vaccines, and clinical consumables, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Ensure all medical equipment is functional, safe, and properly maintained

9. Documentation & Governance
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and administrative documents for internal review and Medical Board submissions
  • Track, monitor, and report nursing indicators and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree/Master's in Nursing, with valid SNB registration
  • Active BCLS certification or willing to renew
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a primary care or A&E setting
  • Experience in leading teams, handling situations with professionalism and empathy
  • Ability to analyze rapid ground changing situations efficiently and quickly, especially in a medical emergency
  • Polished communication, good analytical and problem-solving skills and a patient-first mindset
  • Strong organizational, results driven and multitasking abilities
  • Experience working with health technologies and digital health monitoring tools (e.g. wearables) will be a bonus
  • Passion and interest for preventive healthcare, lifestyle medicine and longevity medicine are highly desirable
