Temasek Laboratories@NTU is looking for a candidate to join them as a Research Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nanomaterial synthesis such as growth of 2D BN using CVD, exfoliation of 2D materials, electro- and wet spinning of nanofibers and other chemical synthesis approaches.
• Perform material characterization (SEM, TEM, XPS, Raman, XRD, mechanical, thermal, electrical etc).
• Design and fabricate energy storage devices and evaluate their electrochemical performances.
• To work with external collaborators (e.g., sample preparation, fabrication of prototypes, material characterisation, demonstration of applications etc).
• Prepare monthly reports and presentations for meetings and project deliverables.
• Publishing research articles in high-impact journals.
• Mentoring of UG students (e.g., FYP, URECA).

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with good honours in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Experience in nanomaterial synthesis and material characterisation techniques.
• Experience in energy storage device fabrication and electrochemical performance evaluation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism in all aspects of work.
• Good writing skills for writing proposals, reports and publications in good academic journals.
