About the Role

We are seeking a Strategic Product Manager to join our Global Alternatives team, with a focus on Hedge and Private Markets. This is a high-impact role responsible for developing next-generation platform capabilities, leading complex client engagements, and designing scalable operating models that differentiate State Street in a competitive landscape.

You will work directly with senior stakeholders across State Street Alpha, Global Markets, and Research, and serve as a strategic partner to our clients-translating their evolving needs into innovative, commercial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Strategy & Development
• Define and drive the roadmap for platform capabilities across Hedge and Private Markets.
• Partner with engineering, data, and operations teams to deliver scalable, client-centric solutions.
• Identify and co-create new strategic capabilities that enhance our core offerings.
• Client Engagement & Solution Design
• Lead strategic client engagements, translating complex requirements into actionable operating models.
• Serve as the solution architect for front-to-back servicing models, integrating technology and service layers.
• Collaborate with relationship managers and sales teams to craft compelling value propositions.
• Program Leadership
• Develop and manage program plans, budgets, and milestones across internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish governance frameworks and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.
• Drive execution excellence with a "One State Street" mindset.

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years in product management, consulting, or transformation roles within alternatives (hedge/private equity).
• Proven track record in platform development and client solutioning in investment management.
• Deep understanding of front, middle, and back-office operations and technologies (e.g., Charles River, Aladdin, SimCorp).
• Skills & Traits
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex environments.
• Education & Credentials
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
• Project Management certification is a plus.
