Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Source and procure goods, components, and services to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Manage procurement categories including EPC, construction works, and OEM components - including Gas Turbines and associated Balance of Plant.
• Administer contracts during project execution, including handling payment claims, variation orders, and contract disputes.
• Ensure adherence to Sembcorp's procurement policies and procedures, and flag any supply risks that may impact project timelines or business operations.
• Serve as a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders for procurement activities in new projects.
• Identify risks and opportunities in the supply chain and provide timely advice to internal teams.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor strategies, and supplier developments.
• Analyze supplier costs and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Negotiate contracts and optimize pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Drive savings through effective negotiation and procurement best practices.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships on behalf of the organization.
• Prepare reports and cost analyses to support procurement decisions.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
• At least 8 years of procurement or sourcing experience, with a strong focus on strategic sourcing
• Proven track record in vendor contract negotiations, including EPC contracts, supply agreements, and long-term service agreement
• Hands-on experience in procurement for construction and/or O&M of gas-fired power plants
• Industry experience in utilities and/or construction sectors is preferred
• Familiarity with SAP Material Management (MM) modules is advantageous
