Job Description & Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Present menu, take order, suggest and recommend appropriately to the customer.
  • To attend and respond to customer needs or request promptly and professionally.
  • Ensuring the quality of dishes before serving.
  • Responsible for table arrangement and cleanliness in the restaurant.
  • Cashier duties.
  • Create and update the wine list in coordination with Executive Chef; Recommend food and wine pairings; Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices; Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware; Store open bottles properly to maintain strong taste; Manage wine cellar and ensure its fully-stocked; Maximizing sales opportunities through wine sales.
  • Negotiate purchase prices with vendors.
  • Beverage inventory and costing management.
  • To carry out all tasks in a reasonable time frame to ensure the smooth running of the areas and restaurant.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Management/Owner.
  • Team player and independent.
  • Puncture, highly responsible and good working attitude.


Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4 years management experience in Food & Beverage industry.
  • Possess sound leadership qualities and ability to manage service staff.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; able to build lasting relationships with guests.
  • Possess good organizational and management skills
  • Having experience in Indian Restaurant and Tamil Speaking also preferable.
