Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with business objectives and customer requirements
- Forecast demand and capacity requirements to ensure adequate resources and avoid bottlenecks
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to optimize the entire supply chain network
- Design and optimize distribution networks for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Manage strategic partnerships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight forwarders
Transportation & Distribution Management
- Oversee transportation operations including route planning, carrier selection
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that arise
- Optimize transportation costs through mode selection, load consolidation, and route optimization
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Coordinate warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping
- Manage inventory levels using techniques like just-in-time (JIT) and economic order quantity (EOQ)
- Oversee cycle counting and inventory audits to maintain accuracy and prevent stockouts
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve productivity and reduce handling costs
