Our client is a leading global provider of storage and logistics solutions and as they continue to establish their presence in Asia, they are seeking a Senior Business Controller.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance & Strategy, you will lead a team and be responsible for

• Oversee Key Finance Functions: Lead Financial Reporting & Analysis, FP&A, Data Analytics, Insurance & Risk Management, Land Leases, Sustainability Reporting, and Stock Management.
• Business Partnering with Operations: Act as Finance Business Partner for Operations across various sites, supporting a diverse product portfolio and import-export activities.
• Drive Financial Reporting & Forecasting: Own and manage actual results, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs; ensure financial performance meets or exceeds targets through robust planning and analytics.
• Enhance Data Analytics Capability: Lead data visualization and dashboarding efforts to deliver insights for decision-making and performance tracking.
• Lead Investment & Capex Projects: Conduct financial modeling for investment proposals, monitor capex spend, and secure incentives from EDB/IRAS to meet financial goals.
• Governance & Compliance: Maintain high standards of financial integrity through internal controls, audits, and compliance with IFRS 16 for land lease reporting.
• Maximize Business Performance:
  Collaborate with terminals and functions to drive business reviews, benchmarking, capital allocation, and sustainability initiatives to improve cash returns.
• Champion Finance Transformation: Co-lead finance system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and create long-term value.
• Lead & Develop Teams: Train, coach, and manage the Business Control team; support talent development and succession planning while fostering adaptability.
• Promote a Future-Ready Finance Culture: Drive a strong performance culture aligned with business needs and HR strategy, with a focus on sustainability and long-term capability building.

Your Profile

As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience

• Possesses over 10 years of financial accounting and business partnering experience, within the Oil & Gas, Chemical/Petrochemical, Infrastructure and/or Maritime industry
• Strong track record in team leadership.
• Strong communication, and stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, critical thinking, and commercial acumen.
• Embraces a continuous improvement mindset and is adaptable to change.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools; experienced with systems such as OCS, Tagetik, and QlikSense.
