Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Dr Jieshun Lin on Presidential Young Professorship under a project on Maximizing Biological Nitrogen Fixation Across Environmental Conditions.

Qualifications

PhD in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, or a related field.
Strong background in plant genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biology, preferably with experience working on protein-protein interactions

Skills:
  • Expertise in plant genetics, molecular cloning, gene expression analysis (qPCR, RNA-seq), and protein studies (Western blot, co-immunoprecipitation)
  • Proficiency in plant transformation, CRISPR genome editing, or related genetic engineering techniques are desirable
  • Ability to analyse large datasets using bioinformatics tools is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaborativel
  • Excellent scientific writing and communication skills, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications

Experience:
  • Genetic analysis, including construct design and making, genotyping, and functional characterization of genes
  • Proficiency in protein-protein interactions such as IP-MS and CO-IP
  • Familiarity with cell biology techniques such as confocal microscopy, and protein localization analyses is advantageous.
