The Role
Perform all payroll functions, including preparation, distribution, and reporting, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Assist with preparation of all payroll related activities. Work closely with the Payroll Vendor. Responsible for all administrative issues related to employees.
Responsibilities
- Execute payroll processing with precision and punctuality
- Oversee the integration and coordination of timekeeping and payroll systems
- Recording and verifying financial transactions and completing the posting process in Finance System (posting of journals)
- Maintain strict compliance with all applicable legal requirements and company policies
- Work in partnership with external payroll service providers to ensure seamless payroll administration
- Generate essential payroll documentation, including postings, funding needs, and reports at the end of each month
- Keep meticulous records of all payroll transactions and employee information
- Process government-paid leaves such as paternity, maternity, and childcare leaves, along with tax clearances and National Service claims, in a timely manner
- Ensure full compliance with local tax laws and legislative mandates related to employee payroll
- Conduct thorough payroll reconciliations, cost allocations, back charging, and handle payment-related tasks
- Engage collaboratively with both internal and external parties to manage payroll operations, reporting, and audits
- Provide prompt responses to any payroll-associated inquiries
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll processing and administration.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, taxation and labor laws/regulations in Singapore and/or other APAC countries
- Attention to detail and accuracy in payroll calculations and data entry
- Strong in Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of integrity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
