Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Executive Housekeeper.
Assist in overseeing the daily operations and performance of the Housekeeping department, including rooms, public areas, and laundry operations.
Support the Executive Housekeeper in managing all housekeeping-related activities across the hotel, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and guest comfort.
Ensure that all team members comply with hotel standards, policies, and procedures at all times.
Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house to ensure consistency and excellence in cleanliness and presentation.
Manage and coordinate housekeeping inventory, including linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies; ensure timely requisitions and accurate stock records.
Assist in planning manpower scheduling and task allocation to meet operational needs and maintain optimal productivity.
Foster a positive, motivated, and service-focused team culture aligned with Sofitel's values and standards.
Train, coach, and develop housekeeping staff to maintain high performance levels and support their professional growth.
Coordinate effectively with Front Office and Engineering to handle guest requests, maintenance issues, and room readiness.
Implement and uphold strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation protocols in all housekeeping operations.
Oversee the laundry operations, ensuring timely processing of linen and guest laundry with consistent quality.
Monitor department costs and support initiatives to control expenses while maintaining service standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, promotions, and operational requirements, ensuring the housekeeping team is fully informed.
Ensure compliance with the hotel's fire safety and emergency procedures and maintain team preparedness through regular drills and briefings.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or senior management.
Continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills through on-the-job training and professional development.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing operational needs.
Key Job Requirements:
Diploma in Hospitality Management or related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity within a luxury hotel environment.
Strong eye for detail and passion for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
