This position supports advanced research in small molecule catalysis, with a focus on understanding how catalyst structure and composition affect their reactivity and selectivity. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of heterogeneous catalytic systems for activating small molecules such as CO, CO2, or syngas. Depending on experience, the candidate may also lead independent research projects aligned with the team's scientific objectives, while assisting in daily experimental work and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and conduct experiments related to small molecule catalytic reactions, including catalyst synthesis, activation, and reaction evaluation.
  • Perform advanced material characterization using techniques such as TEM, TPR, TPD, etc.
  • Prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations for internal discussions and external publication.
  • Contribute to lab organization, safety, and equipment maintenance.

Job Requirements:
  • PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Research experience in heterogeneous catalysis, with knowledge in catalyst synthesis and small molecule activation (e.g., CO, CO2, syngas)
  • Proficiency in materials characterization techniques such as TEM, TPR, and, TPD
  • Strong analytical thinking, independent research ability, and publication record in high-impact journals
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, including the ability to train and guide junior researchers
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
