Description
- Leading a team of SAP technical experts who provide technical production support for finance systems, financial close operational support, and technical consultation to finance on day-to-day operations, projects and new system implementations
- Mentoring team of high performing experts to ensure timely resolution of issues, while maintaining a high quality of customer satisfaction
- Engaging with business users and partnering with Information System & Technology team to identify root cause and resolve issues related to SAP and other finance systems
- Supporting all CFO staff to ensure smooth financial close, including on-call systems support and other recurring close activities (include Quarterly Close review to CFO staff)
- Providing SAP technical consultation and training to finance users whenever technical inputs are required on key Finance/Sales/Material Management processes in projects and operations
- Defining and executing on strategic direction to globally standardize and document the Global Finance Support Center's process/procedures, operational metrics and reporting
- Partnering with finance users and Information System & Technology team to manage end-to-end enhancement request process and build systems with strong controls to avoid financial risks
- Analyzing operational metrics and proactively identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce the number of inquiries and improve SLAs Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation to drive scale and efficiency
- Managing Global system governance teams that manages GL/Cost Center/Signature Authorities data, configurations and routing for all P2P applications (including Apple's home grown applications like eApproval, Finref, FDMG, iRecon and iBPM) in compliance with Apple finance policies and SOX. This also involves managing 25+ key controls, supporting iCAT refreshes and working with internal and external auditors for timely completion of the audit
- Maintaining close engagement with Finance, Finance Business process reengineering and Information System and Technology teams to support new process and systems including S4 HANA, Ariba, Blackline, RAR, BTP, MDG, etc.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor degree with CA / CPA or MBA
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large SAP technical teams which supports consulting, implementation or production support experience, preferably at a multi-national company
- Minimum 5 years of Finance & Accounting experience with exposure to managing audits, SOX and finance policies.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing people, with a focus on leadership and team development
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep technical understanding of SAP both from a functional and technical perspective - specially related to P2P, O2C and R2R finance functions
- Managed large global technical teams using follow the sun which manages projects, maintenance and support for large SAP instances.
- Natural curiosity for problem solving and strong desire to understand root cause of issues
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate technical information to non-technical Finance users
- Demonstrated leadership , strong business partnering skills and ability to establish relationships with cross-functional and global partners
- Must have strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiating skills
- Ability to manage multiple task simultaneously, while work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
- Proven ability to manage conflicts independently and constructively, while driving issues to resolution with minimal escalation
- Proven ability to perform under tight deadlines
- Flexibility with working hours to support global and close-related issues required
- Certifications in SAP S4 HANA and Project Management desirable
