POSITION SUMMARY

The Finance Manager has an overall responsibility in ensuring the Accounts/Finance team can support inter-department requirements and smooth, effective operations. This will include assisting management in ensuring stakeholder' compliance, data collection and performing analysis for decision-making, and other tasks assigned.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Team Management - Manage a team of accounts/finance and ensures timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting
• Working closing with Division Heads and MD to plan, coordinate and prepare budgeting, forecasting, cashflow planning
• Project management - contracting terms, project financials and CF management, liaising with Project / Process Team
• Problem resolution - Identify, solve issues the team faces in order to operate effectively
• Audit and tax compliance - Work with auditors and tax agents and ensure compliance, prepare audit financial statements
• Compliance to rules and regulations - Ensure regulatory and internal control requirements are met
• Workflow management - Review, propose and implement internal processes / policies to improve efficiency
• Operational support - review tender terms and conditions, support Business Development team, BG and LC application review
• Data collection and compliance - Required by Management, consolidate data from various sources for management
• Business Partnering with internal business units and Management
• Liaising with external stakeholders - Manage and coordinate communications between external stakeholders (banks, corporate secretary, auditors, tax agents, government agencies etc) and submit completed documents

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accountancy, with minimum 6 years post qualification experience
• A member of ISCA with In depth knowledge of accounting and tax standards
• Leadership - Team motivator and able to coach and mentor staff
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to work in a dynamic environment and manage expectations and tight deadlines
• Solid technical knowledge
• Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Tech Savvy, Proficient in working with spreadsheets and data analysis
• Meticulous with an 'eye' for details and able to work independently
• Willing to hands on and able to work with all levels of the company
• Preferable experience in import / export trading, manufacturing industry though criteria is not a must
