JOB MISSION

To support content strategy across proposals and campaigns by turning audience insight and performance data into actionable creative direction, helping teams shape content that's platform-relevant, purposeful, and effective.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

First 90 Days:

Learn the Hashtag Way

  • Familiarise yourself with Hashtag's strategy frameworks, content tools, and planning templates.
  • Review sample proposals and campaign plans to understand how content strategy is structured and presented.
  • Attend onboarding sessions with the Strategy, Content, and Accounts leads to understand collaboration workflows.

Get to Know our Work and People

  • Shadow key team members across Content, Design, and Accounts to observe how strategies come to life.
  • Sit in on internal meetings and selected client calls for 2-3 assigned accounts to understand goals, tone, and existing content performance.
  • Learn how different teams approach briefing, production, and approvals and where content strategy fits in.

Contribute to Proposals and Campaign Thinking

  • Support 3-5 proposals or campaign strategy decks with input on content pillars, messaging, or formats.
  • Use Hashtag templates to structure your contributions and receive feedback from senior strategists.

Dip Your Toes into Performance and Learning

  • Partner with the Community & Insights team to observe how audits are done and start assisting with content analysis.
  • Help update at least 2-3 content-focused case studies and learn how we frame success stories.
  • Participate in team discussions, sharing what content trends or formats caught your eye and why.


Day-to-Day Expectations:

Support Strategic Planning for Content

  • Collaborate with strategy, content, and creative teams to shape campaign messaging, content pillars, and format plans.
  • Write and contribute to content briefs for the creative team, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment.

Evaluate and Optimise Ongoing Content

  • Analyse performance metrics (with support from insights team) to identify what's working across channels.
  • Spot opportunities for iteration or experimentation in upcoming content calendars.

Keep the Team Informed and Inspired

  • Stay on top of trends, content formats, and cultural moments that could spark reactive or real-time ideas.
  • Share inspiration regularly in team channels or meetings, linking it back to strategic value rather than just aesthetics.

Build Strategic Documentation and Learning

  • Help maintain the content strategy sections of internal templates, decks, and case studies.
  • Contribute to Hashtag's internal knowledge base with content-specific learnings, frameworks, or POVs.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience in a content, strategy, or creative role, ideally in a creative or digital agency
  • Strong understanding of digital and social platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube)
  • Experience contributing to proposals or campaign planning
  • Comfortable working with performance data and drawing insight from metrics
  • Strong deck-writing and communication skills
  • Bonus: Experience working on real-time or reactive content
