The National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant in the Department of Paediatrics, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine . Appointments will be made under a 1-year contract of service in the first instance and may be extended subsequently.

We are seeking highly motivated and self-driven candidates interested in child health and neurodevelopment/mental health, have strong analytical skills, and are enthusiastic about learning new skills in neurodevelopment research and data analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform data preparation and visualization
2. Conduct data analysis from study cohorts (with guidance)
3. Create publication-quality tables and figures
4. Complete relevant literature search
5. Draft scientific manuscripts
6. Assist in grant applications
7. Optimization/automation of existing workflows

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in quantitative discipline such as data science, bioinformatics, computational biology, life sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, psychology, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related disciplines.
• Proficient in Stata, R, MATLAB, or Python
• Good writing skills
• Interest in child health and neurodevelopment/mental health/psychology
• Works well in a team

Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience
