Assistant Manager/Manager Finance

Location: Balestier

Working days: 5 days (Mon - Fri)

Working time: 830am-6pm (Mon-Thurs) ; 830am - 530pm (Fri)

Salary: $4,800 to $7,500

Job Responsible:

* Lead the accounting team in operational / financial matters

* Oversee daily finance processes and accounting tasks of various entities, i.e. AP & AR processing, GL, account reconciliation, etc.

* Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management

* Prepare consolidated financial statement based on IFRS

* Ensure internal controls and financial policies and processes comply with the standards and regulations governing registered Charities and Institutions of a Public Character (IPCs)

* Support and ensure compliance with GST submission and donation reporting

* Assist in budgeting, forecasting and management reporting

* Prepare monthly financial statements and other financial reports for council and finance committee meetings

* Liaise with the membership department and manage the financial reporting on membership dues

* Coordinate with external auditors, bankers and government authorities where required

* Assist in new processes and system implementation where required

Requirement:

* CPA or Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification like ACCA

* Minimum 8 years professional experience in accounting with 4 years in a supervisory position

* Good knowledge of budgeting and financial evaluation techniques

* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and experience in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment, particularly Navision

* Experience working in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and/or non-profit organisations or IPCs would be highly beneficial
