Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for Catering Sales Manager at Paradox Singapore. The role will generate, manage, and convert catering leads into successful events. Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events while maximizing revenue and ensuring client satisfaction.
Sales and Business Development:
- Achieve and exceed individual catering sales targets while contributing to the team's overall revenue budget.
- Identify and pursue new catering business opportunities, focusing on events such as corporate meetings, banquets, and social gatherings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Design and plan event packages that maximize conversion rates and profitability for the hotel.
- Conduct site visits, presentations, and client meetings to showcase the hotel's event spaces and catering options.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, and pricing information to clients.
- Maximize revenue potential by up-selling in all revenue-producing areas and ensuring proper utilization of function space, ballrooms, and meeting rooms.
Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and sustain robust relationships with a diverse client base, including corporate entities, government agencies, travel agencies, airlines and event organizers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, from initial inquiry through event completion.
- Understand client needs and preferences, providing tailored proposals and customized service offerings.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring their expectations are met and any issues are resolved promptly.
- Follow up with clients regularly during and after events to ensure satisfaction and handle any feedback or complaints.
Event Planning and Coordination:
- Work closely with clients to plan and execute events, including menu selection, room setup, audiovisual requirements, and other details.
- Prepare detailed proposals, negotiate contracts, and finalize bookings, ensuring all event details are accurately captured.
- Prepare and manage Banquet Event Order (BEO), ensuring all details are documented and agreed upon by all parties.
- Manage event deposits, payments, and billing, ensuring timely collection of all revenue.
- Attend or conduct BEO meetings, pre-con meetings and other relevant meetings to ensure all departments are informed about event details and last-minute changes.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop customized menus that align with clients' preferences and budgets.
- Coordinate with internal departments (culinary, banquet operations, AV, etc.) to ensure all event details are executed flawlessly.
- Oversee the setup, breakdown, and on-site management of events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.
Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting potential clients.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to increase visibility and generate leads.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to keep the hotel's catering services competitive.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and event details using the hotel's CRM system.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market trends.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement in the wedding sales processes.
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Other Duties:
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by Management, demonstrating flexibility and a strong commitment to the hotel's success.
