This position incorporates investigation and review for multiple projects: provide detailed investigative reports and findings to law firms, government agencies, insurance companies, shipowners, charterers, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide expert forensic analysis and evaluation of incidents in your area of expertise.

• Investigate and evaluate engineering and scientific details for compliance with Codes and Standards.

• Investigations will require visiting sites around Asia to obtain detailed measurements, sample collection, documenting observations, and producing reports.

• Travel to assignments in region at short notice.

• Write and submit detailed and accurate reports on projects within specific and required time periods in accordance with guidelines.

• Communicate with clients to provide timely project updates on a consistent basis.

• Provide expert testimony for litigation matters on an as-needed basis.

• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients.

• Occasional after hours participating in marketing activities.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.

• Frequently required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.

Experience

• Fresh Ph.D. graduates and experienced candidates with a technical background, preferably in Organic Chemistry, are welcome to apply.

Knowledge & Skills

• Must have excellent sequential thinking and deductive skills.

• Must be extremely well organized with ability to deliver accurate information within established agreed time schedules.

• Must be able to work well with people in a collegial and professional environment.

• Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal) and social skills.
