This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal guidance and support to our executive leadership and business units across various jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide general legal support and commercial advice to the business, covering tendering, project execution, disputes, and general corporate matters.
• Conduct thorough tender/contract reviews, identifying key risks, terms, and conditions outside Leighton Asia's Work Procurement Standard, and collaborate with the business to develop appropriate risk treatments.
• Offer legal advice and support for projects, claims, and disputes, including contract administration, major subcontract reviews, claim strategy development, drafting legal documents, and settlement agreements.
• Engage and manage external legal advisers, including cost management.
• Ensure contract formation adheres to all obligations, entitlements, and risk allocations for Leighton Asia.
• Negotiate contracts and settle disputes, drafting settlement agreements and communicating effectively to obtain favorable outcomes for the company.
• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as identified by the business.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer licensed to practice in Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, or the UK.
• Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong analytical and logical mindset, self-starting abilities, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Pragmatic and practical approach to problem-solving.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
