Responsibilities
• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in menu planning and the development of new pastry items.
• Supervise and train pastry staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry and baking areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely production and service during events and busy periods.
• Experiment with new techniques and flavor combinations to enhance the pastry menu.
• Ensure all baked goods meet presentation standards before serving.
• Assist in the management of labor costs and food waste in the pastry section.

Requirements
• At least two (2) years of working experience in the related field and in similar capacity
• Thorough understanding of all occupational health & safety issues
• Flexible and energetic
• Excellent communicator, team player and with leadership qualities
• Has thorough knowledge of all food products - local and imported
• 5-day work week
