Pastoral Team Member (Seniors' Ministry and Pastoral Care)

ANG MO KIO METHODIST CHURCH (TRAC)
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate pastoral team member to join Ang Mo Kio Methodist Church (TRAC). This individual will play a vital role in supporting our Seniors' Ministry and Pastoral Care efforts- nurturing the spiritual well-being of our seniors through regular fellowship and engagement, while also providing pastoral support through visitations and meaningful presence during times of need.

Requirements
- A genuine heart for people and a special compassion for the elderly.
- Willingness to serve on Sundays and outside regular hours (with off days adjusted accordingly).
- Team-oriented, able to collaborate with church staff, members, the Supervising Pastor, and the Seniors' Ministry Coordinator.
- Organised, self-motivated, and proactive in following through with responsibilities.
- Open to receiving feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Diploma or Degree in Theology/Divinity, or other relevant theological studies (other qualifications may be considered).
- Previous ministry experience in a church or parachurch organisation.
- Proven experience in pastoral care or related ministries.
Key Responsibilities
- Seniors' Ministry
- Plan and organise regular fellowship gatherings, outreach activities, and special events for seniors.
- Encourage and support seniors to actively engage in church life.
- Provide guidance and support to members serving in the Seniors' Ministry.
- Pastoral Care
- Conduct home and hospital visitations, offering care and support to members.
- Coordinate and conduct wake services and provide pastoral support during bereavement.
- Publish bereavement notices through the church's communication channels.
- Maintain proper documentation, including visitation logs and records for the Seniors' Ministry.
- Schedule pastoral visits in coordination with the pastoral team.
