Our client is a maritime company based in Hong Kong. They are looking for a candidate who is willing to relocate to Hong Kong to hold this position to support the New Building division by driving business development initiatives, increasing new order intake, and ensuring smooth onboarding of new clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft and manage business documents such as contracts, quotations, bid proposals, and maintain proper filing.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to understand their needs and deliver exceptional service.
- Represent the company at industry events and networking activities to identify business opportunities.
- Independently manage the tender process and liaise with key stakeholders.
- Possess a sound understanding of newbuilding supervision and business objectives, present company capabilities, and respond to client inquiries.
- Keep updated on industry trends, market movements, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Take on additional assignments from the division as needed and contribute to team success with a flexible attitude.
Working Relationships
- Internal: Collaborate closely with the New Building HQ team and various departments including legal, finance, guarantees, technical management, and business development.
- External: Engage with clients, shipyards, contractors, classification societies, vendors, and the on-site newbuilding team to gather necessary information and maintain smooth operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- Background in naval architecture or marine engineering is advantageous.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the newbuilding sector.
- Solid knowledge of the shipping industry and newbuilding processes.
- Proven business development experience within the maritime sector.
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin (Mandarin is essential for handling Chinese tender documents).
