JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the incumbent is responsible for:
a) Allocating and processing of guest rooms;
b) Meeting and escorting VIP guests;
c) Providing general information and assistance to guests

Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, the incumbent is responsible for:
- Observing and directing associates on the following:
a) Allocating and processing of guest rooms;
b) Meeting and escorting VIP guests;
c) Providing general information and assistance to guests
- To deputise the Assistant Front Office Manager / Rooms Division Manager in his / her absence.
- Monitor DM Log Books for special requests, instructions and information recorded and any action taken or to be taken.
- Conduct room inspections with particular emphasis on cleanliness and standard set up.
- Conduct room inspection with all VIP guests, ensuring VIP arrangements are placed in the room prior to guest's arrival.
- Conduct daily show room inspection and ensure that show rooms are in good condition.
- Perform pre-payment daily and email to Reservations after charging.
- Liaise regularly with Housekeeping Department regarding all special requests, full house situations and general problem solving.
- Coordinate the Hotel Guest History Program in conjunction with all departments (if applicable).
- Handle all guest complaints effectively in a tactful and professional manner.
- Perform End-of-Day Operations and ensure that all reports are disseminated accurately.
- Purchase stock/inventory according to purchasing procedures and specifications while handling and storing stock according to stock control procedures and keeping within the Budget/Outlook.
- Manage and maximize occupancy, revenue and average rate while maintaining high service standards via the upselling programs within the department.
- Ensure that the guest registration, checkout, and mail services are handled efficiently in accordance with the hotel's policy and procedures.
- Ensure that all hotel credit checks are carried out in a timely manner.
- Execute On-Job-Training (OJT) to ensure all associates have the necessary skills to perform their job efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all Occupational, Health & Safety requirements within the workplace and be familiar with the emergency procedures on fire prevention/drill, guest/associate accidents, bomb-threat, suspicious parcel, procedures on serious crime occurrence, death of a guest, stalled elevators, power failure and any other emergencies.
- Any other ad-hoc duties from time to time.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- GCE 'O' Level / Diploma in Tourism / Hotel Management or related fields
- At least 5 years' of relevant working experience, of which at least 2 years in a supervisory position
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead and train fellow associates
- Proficient in OPERA (Cloud) and Microsoft Office
- Able to work on rotating shifts, Public Holidays and weekends
