Sales Proposal Engineer to prepare proposals and tenders for DCS, SIS, SCADA, PLC, cybersecurity, etc. Preferably, those candidates with at least one year of related technical experiences.

Job Title: Proposal Engineer
Job Summary:
Role: To support Sales Account Managers by developing cost-effective and technically viable solutions for process automation, control, and instrumentation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review customer inquiries, RFQs, and technical specifications and conduct site survey to identify project requirements.
  • Develop technically viable solutions using client's products, systems, and services such as DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS (Safety Instrumented System), etc.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposal documents, including Technical Description, System Architecture Diagram, Bill of Materials, Price Summary, Delivery Schedules, Terms and Conditions, etc. for proposal submission and customer understanding.
  • Liaise with internal teams (product marketing, project, service, procurement, etc.) and external suppliers to estimate cost, delivery timelines, and risks.
  • Prepare and participate in internal technical and cost reviews to validate, optimize, and get management approval before proposal submission.
  • Support the Sales Account Managers by addressing technical questions and clarifications from customers during the proposal stage.

Qualifications:
  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, or related discipline.
  • 1-5 years of related experience in proposal, technical sales, or sales support roles in industrial automation and control.
  • Familiar with DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS (Safety Instrumented System), IEC62443 Standards will be advantageous, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Visio, Word, Excel).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful, initiative and assiduous in carrying out tasks.
  • Good time management, ability to organize and perform multi-tasks with minimum supervision.
  • A team player, willingness to go the extra mile, work under time pressure frequently, and acquire updated knowledge on the job in supporting the front end sales.
  • Positive mindset in working with incomplete / insufficient information, supporting other team members to expedite tasks and contribute to improvement activities.
