A&O Shearman in Singapore is a hub for the firm's work across Southeast Asia, with our Singapore office being an intrinsic part of the firm's Asia Pacific network. Our history in Singapore spans 30 years. We were among the first batch of international firms to be granted a Singapore Qualifying Foreign Law Practice (QFLP) license in 2008. In providing clients with the highest quality Singapore, U.S., and English legal advice, we are able to leverage our strength in local law capability to manage the more complex deals with Singapore law elements. The Capital Markets group is a market-leading practice. We are looking for a junior level associate to join our India Debt Capital Markets practice based in Singapore

Role Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with up to 3 years practice in India Capital Markets Work and should either be internationally qualified or willing to take an international qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge in Indian Capital Markets.
• Intellectual curiosity and versatility.
• Self-starter with the desire and ability to continuously acquire, build upon and share knowledge.
• Detail-focused and self-motivated approach.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent client relationship skills.
• Sound experience of operating at the associate level within a complex international organization.
• Strong commercial/business acumen with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and advice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels and particularly to win the respect of the partner and fee-earner community, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
