Requirement

• Basic spoken English proficiency
• Able to work outdoors in direct sunlight
• Initiative and responsibility in performing gardening duties
• Ability to work effectively with teachers
• have at least 3 years of experience in providing similar landscaping services

Working Hour

• Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays)
• Hours: 0800 to 1700 (including 30-minute lunch break)

Job Description

1. Basic gardening duties:

• Perform routine tasks including watering, soil cultivation, fertilising, digging, mulching, forking, weeding, edging, pruning, grass cutting, bed preparation, pesticide application, planting and clearing of fallen leaves and fruits
• Maintain cleanliness of school landscape at all times

2. Equipment and supplies:

• Contractor to provide and secure basic gardening tools, fertiliser and pesticide in lockable storage.

3. Maintain outdoor learning spaces including:

• Eco-garden, Fernery, Nurseries, Eco-ponds
• Herbs, spice and edible plants station
• Desert station, Compost station
• Fruit trees, and Butterfly Garden
• Citronella (lemongrass) trail along classroom blocks driveway
• Level 4 roof garden

4. Systems support:

• Assist with preparation, operation and cleaning of vertical farming, aquaponics, solar-powered hydroponics systems, and butterfly garden during scheduled class farming activities
• Report system maintenance issues to HOD Science/Subject Head Science for vendor attention

5. Additional responsibilities

• Undertake other duties as assigned by school management, or Operations Manager (OM) or HOD Science
