What the day will look like
• Reporting to and working closely with a senior finance manager to deliver financial services to a reputable portfolio of captive clients in a close-knit team environment
• Ensure that all the clients' priorities, objectives and any other requirements have been met with the following service deliverables (non-exhaustive);
o Oversee the daily operations and monthly close of the captives by supervising and providing relevant guidance to the Aon central processing team on accounting matters. Assist with reconciliation where necessary. Attend to queries that may arise from Group consolidation team following Group submission.
o Attend to banking matters such as guarantees, related technical issues and KYC reviews conducted from time to time.
o Assist with Group Reporting and Statutory Reporting to various regulatory bodies.
o Assist with Insurance Regulatory returns and government surveys
o Assist with the audit by liaising with internal/external auditors and tax agents across different domiciles; provide requested information to auditors and tax agents
o Assist with the Preparation of Audit Financial Statements.
o Review Corporate Governance Framework on a periodic basis and ensure compliance is met through completion of monthly risk assessments.
o Attend to company secretarial matters and liaise with secretarial agents
o Attend to any administrative matters that arises
o Support implementation of systems, initiatives, projects and strategies driven by either Aon/client
o Facilitating Board meetings, preparing Board materials and take responsibility for Board minutes
o Deliver prompt results under tight timelines and remain compliant at all times
o Assist with ad-hoc requests by clients
• Lead one client's project locally with Global support to IFRS17
• Ad hoc projects to support the business, e.g. governance framework, implement strategic planning
• Support and enact the Firm's decisions and strategies; and
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the Captive industry and associated trends.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: The candidate should have strong skills in financial reporting and analysis, including experience with monthly close processes, reconciliation, and group consolidation. This includes the ability to oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Technical Accounting and Regulatory Knowledge: A deep understanding of technical accounting matters, insurance regulatory returns, and government surveys is essential. The candidate should be familiar with IFRS17 and have experience liaising with auditors and tax agents.
- Project Management and Leadership: The role requires the ability to lead projects, such as implementing strategic planning and governance frameworks, and supporting global initiatives. The candidate should be able to deliver results under tight timelines and manage ad-hoc client requests effectively.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills are necessary for facilitating board meetings, preparing materials, and taking responsibility for board minutes. The candidate should be able to work closely with a senior finance manager and liaise with various stakeholders, including secretarial agents and banking partners.
- Industry Knowledge and Strategic Thinking: A thorough understanding of the captive industry and associated trends is crucial. The candidate should be able to support and enact the firm's decisions and strategies, maintaining compliance and contributing to the implementation of systems and initiatives
