Responsibilities

• Responsible for a range of automotive parts such as brake pads & rotors, filters, steering systems, mountings & bushings.

• Lead and conduct feasibility assessment studies.

• Lead design reviews.

• Make product recommendations in line with required upgrades due to EOL technologies and/ or business requirements.

• Verify specifications and technical drawings pre-production.

• Work with the Sales and Purchase teams to determine external customers' product requirements.

• Evaluate existing parts/materials for improvements to optimize business opportunities.

• Document the controlled revision of the products throughout its lifecycle.

• Understand safety agency specifications and environmental restrictions and design within these guidelines to meet customers' requirements.

• Continuously build product and technical knowledge and experience across the business.

• Any other reports/duties assigned by the Management

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications, Diploma/ Degree in relevant fields or equivalent.

• Min 5 years' experience in a similar role in the automotive industry

• In-depth understanding of automotive and industry-specific regulations and standards.

• Experienced in making and reading technical drawings.
