About the role

As a Commis Cook 1/2/3 at Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef and other senior cooks in preparing high-quality meals for our guests. This is a full-time position based in the Central Region, offering the opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

a) Role and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in all food preparation processes.
2. Cook and prepare raw and cooked materials.
3. Prepare vegetables, meats, seafood, and vegetarian food items.
4. Support deliveries and restocking of kitchen supplies.
5. Assist with stock rotation and maintain cleanliness of workstations.
6. Follow and uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
7. Inform the chef of any excess food items or products for daily production use.
8. Maintain accurate food logs.
9. Assist colleagues with chopping, cutting, packing, and learning dishes from other chefs.
10. Work according to food menu specifications provided by senior chefs.

b) Requirements:

• Able to work flexible shifts, including public holidays and rostered days.
• Good cooking skills in Chinese and local cuisine.
