Job Summary:

The Assembly Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the metal machining and fabrication assembly area. This role ensures that products are assembled according to engineering specifications, quality standards, and production timelines. The supervisor leads a team of assemblers, drives productivity, maintains a safe work environment, and supports continuous improvement in Assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate assembly activities involving machined and fabricated metal components.
• Plan daily work schedules and allocate manpower to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Monitor assembly operations to ensure adherence to technical drawings, weld symbols, tolerances, and quality requirements.
• Oversee the final inspection, labeling, and packing of completed metal/other products for shipment or storage.
• Ensure packing procedures meet customer requirements and prevent damage during transit.
• Supervise the use of appropriate packing materials, crates, pallets, and protective measures.
• Maintain accurate production records, including daily output, material usage, manpower deployment, and non-conformance reports.
• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing practices, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a metal fabrication and machining environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and mechanical blueprints.
• Hands-on knowledge of tools and machinery used in metal fabrication and assembly.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Work is performed in a metal fabrication and assembly shop floor environment.
• Regular standing, lifting, and handling of metal components and packing materials required.
