Culinary Team Lead, Japanese Cuisine (Up to $3,400 | Career Growth, 5-6 Days Work Week)

We're on the lookout for a Culinary Team Lead (formerly known as Junior Sous Chef) to join our kitchen crew in a modern, well-loved Japanese dining spot.

  • Prep and cook a range of Japanese favorites, sushi, sashimi, donburi, tempura, and grilled dishes
  • Support the Head Chef in ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Lead and guide junior staff to keep the team sharp and service-ready
  • Maintain consistent food quality and presentation that keeps guests coming back
  • Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and running like clockwork
  • Manage inventory and ordering so we're never caught without the good stuff
  • Confidently step up when the Sous Chef or Head Chef is off-duty


  • at least 2 years in the kitchen, ideally with Japanese cuisine
  • know your way around Japanese ingredients, knife skills, and techniques
  • You're available 5 or 6 days a week
  • care about cooking, improving, and building a kitchen culture you're proud of
