The Emerging nanoscience Research Institute (EnRI) focuses its research on advanced materials, computational modelling & simulation and development of small-scale testing and materials characterization. We are looking for a Research Fellow whose primary purpose is to support research and development in the chemical conversion of high-energy waste materials.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support research and development in the chemical conversion and valorization of hazardous waste streams, focusing on complex, reactive materials.
- Involves process design, optimization, and scale-up, including reaction kinetics, material characterization, and risk assessment.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to advance waste-to-resource technologies, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety while contributing to the broader goals of sustainable waste management.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hazardous waste processing, material recovery, and chemical conversion.
- Proficiency in analytical techniques (e.g., FTIR, TGA, DSC, ICP-OES) for material characterization.
- Excellent scientific writing and technical reporting skills, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with experience in data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
