Job purpose

The Jobholder will be responsible for the allied health teams, namely the rehabilitation team and the psychosocial support (PSS) team. He/she will be required to operate the community rehabilitation and home therapy programmes as a sustainable business unit. Furthermore, he/she will manage the PSS team to further advance the psychosocial support services provided to our clients.

Duties and responsibilities

• Manage the rehabilitation and psychosocial support services of the organisation
• Develop the direction and the appropriate strategies to operate the rehabilitation services as a sustainable business unit
• Develop the appropriate care model for the SASCO rehabilitation services to be recognized as having high quality and effectiveness
• Ensure the competence and capability of the rehabilitation team members to deliver the services at the expected high level
• Develop the direction and appropriate strategies to increase the effectiveness of the psychosocial support team to serve our clients more holistically
• Ensure the competence and capability of the psychosocial support team members to deliver the services at the expected high level

Qualifications & Skills Required

• A recognised Degree in rehabilitation (physiotherapy, occupational therapy)
• Experienced in managing a team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, therapy aides as well as social workers, social work associates and counsellors
• Work experience in an eldercare setting with person-centred care approach is an advantage
• Preferably at least 5 years' experience in similar position
